There will be no data analysis and interpretation PD offering beyond Term 2 2019. Term 3 2019 PD will focus on Unit 3 content deficits only. Term 4 2019 PD will be offered only at the STAQ-UQ Senior Science Day and STAQ-UQ Senior Biology Day and focus only on Unit 3 and 4 content deficits and practicals.

STAQ-UQ Biology Data Fun Day - 2019 Offerings
Dr G’s Virtual Ecology Data Fun Days (Regional & Remote Teachers only) – Register here
These sessions are offered at no cost to biology teachers in regional and remote schools in Queensland. It is delivered virtually via Zoom (you will receive a video conference link to join the session). These sessions are repeated on the three dates that they are offered, so you are welcome to register for one or multiple offerings.
If you are a Head of Department or PD Coordinator at your school, we recommend that you complete the registration for all your attending staff. You would project the conference link to access the PD, and all attending staff work on the data set on their respective laptops.
This PD will review the three mandatory practicals of Unit 3 of the new Senior Biology syllabus, and reveal challenges in experimental design you will face in the field. We will propose statistical tests to best analyse likely data sets that you collect from these practicals, and how they might be best represented to satisfy the expectations of IA2.
