Privacy Policy
The Science Teachers’ Association of Queensland (STAQ) privacy policy adopts the National Privacy Principles contained in the Privacy Amendment (Private Sector) Act 2000. STAQ pays a membership fee on your behalf to Australia Science Teachers Association and all membership details are forwarded to the Australia Science Teachers Association for Science related matters. Information may be held by third parties responsible for providing processing services to the Association. These third parties do not have permission to use, sell or transfer information. Members have the right to request access to their personal information. This right is subject to some exceptions, which are set out in the Privacy Amendment (Private Sector) Act 2000. In order to ensure the privacy and security of its members and other associates, STAQ requires any request for information to be made in writing including full name, address and phone number. This way staff can speedily verify authenticity of the request.
