STAQ hosts multiple conferences each year. STAQ members can register for these conferences at a discounted price

• New and Returning to Teaching Maths and Science Night 13 March 2020 – The University of Queensland
• Growing Science (replacing the Science Is Primary conference) 1 May 2020 – Moorooka State School
• Senior Biology PD (2020 Term 1), presented by Dr Gurion Ang, UQ School of Biological Sciences. Tentative dates in Feb and March 2020
• Annual General Meeting
  This year’s AGM will be taking place in late November.
• Senior Science Conference
  This year the Senior Science Conference is a 1 day conference hosted by the University of Queensland. This conference is intended for senior secondary science teachers as well as Science Operations Officers (SOOs). Dates for 2020 are still to be confirmed.

STAQ are always investigating further opportunities for providing professional development to members, particularly those members in regional and remote locations. If you have an idea for a professional development workshop, seminar, or class that you would like to share with STAQ or present through a STAQ conference or professional development event, please let us know.
